Highest Good Society

Highest Good Society

Highest Good society is the combination of all of the elements One Community considers foundational to supporting people living for The Highest Good of All. It is a social architecture built on three things: helping each other and others, fulfilled living and emotional sustainability, and making a difference in the world by setting an example. Its purpose is forward global movement of self-propagating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities by specifically catering to the 6-foundational emotional needs with duplicable components that address the foundations of education, social injustice and inequality, crime, economics and poverty, discrimination, emotional health, and happiness.

Creating Global Solutions - One Community Weekly Progress Update #40

Creating Global Solutions - One Community Weekly Progress Update #40

One Community feels that creating global solutions through philanthropy and humanitarianism for purely altruistic reasons isn’t working sufficiently. Our approach to addressing this is developing and demonstrating a living model that provides specific benefits most people want while simultaneously and comprehensively addressing the most pressing problems humanity is currently struggling with. By coupling solutions to these problems with what most people will consider a significantly better way of living, we create a model that pinpoints the very roots of our socio-economic challenges while teaching others how to address these challenges too. In this way, One Community is here to provide the global value and  individual value necessary to build the wide-spread mainstream support (including financial involvement) capable of positive and permanent transformation on a global scale. Here is our weekly progress update (#40) covering our development and accomplishments for the week of November 25, 2013.

The Four Stages to Achieving True Community

We believe the epitome of socioemotional development for adults is unconditional love; building True Community is a path to creating a supportive environment where it is easier to do this. We see putting aside judgment, the need to fix or change each other, and choosing to maintain an environment of people free to be themselves is a natural progression for us as an empathic civilization and collective human consciousness. One Community is designed to support this through a detailed process of seeking those with a consciousness for The Highest Good of All and our commitment to the stages of community building, ongoing 2-directional feedbackconsensus governing, and Highest Good society.

Rabbits

Rabbits

One Community feels that modeling ethical and humane animal stewardship is essential and for The Highest Good of All in a world with nutritional needs as diverse as ours. With this goal, our team of vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores will be raising rabbits for food and pelts and using their manure for fertilizer. We approach this process with respect, gratitude, and love for these creatures and will be expanding this page with our open source collaborative efforts and experience once on the property.

Sustainable World Development: Projecting Our First 5 Years of Global Contribution and Transformation

Sustainable World Development: Projecting Our First 5 Years of Global Contribution and Transformation

One Community is about moving beyond a model solution by building a solution creating model. This means a regenerative and better long-term approach to sustainable world development because One Community is not designed as just one solution, but rather as a creator of modular sustainability components and solutions. One Community and our duplicable model and free blueprints include everything from sustainable foodsustainable energy, and sustainable and duplicable eco-housing, to recreation, educationfulfilled living practices, and social architecture. While anything after five years is pure speculation, we believe that if we make each piece of One Community easy to duplicate, free to access, and well-known, people will follow our lead and start to build their own prototype infrastructures and establish a sustainable world model founded on self-sufficient teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities.
In the prophetic words of Buckminster Fuller: “In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model. You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being called.” This is the long-term vision for One Community and our vision for the world.

Meeting The Six Foundational Human Needs

Meeting The Six Foundational Human Needs

We believe the fastest way for our comprehensive sustainability model to become mainstream and spread globally is for it to specifically meet human needs in a way that creates appeal beyond just eco-living. Building a sustainable environment that is superior to a traditional living environment in meeting these needs is not just possible with the One Community model, it is foundational to our idea of comprehensive sustainabilitycreating global engagement and implementation, functioning as a teacher/demonstration model, and living for The Highest Good of All.

World-changing People - One Community Weekly Progress Update #34

One Community is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization of world changing people taking a comprehensive approach to maximize the ease of replicating sustainable living and the number of people that can access it. Our collaborative approach engages all demographics and creates new ways to live a more fulfilled life in every way. Every component is open source and can be built modularly, which removes the barriers for duplication while we expand our global network of sharing and creating even more for The Highest Good of All. We are comprehensively and simultaneously addressing foodenergyconstructionfulfilled livingadult and child education models, social architecturesustainable and ethical business practices, and thinking and creating for The Highest Good of All because we see these thing as interconnected and essential to address as a group if a globally transformational solution is to be successful. We are doing this because we see it as a clear and viable path to positively and permanently impact life for everyone and everything on this planet. The SEGO Center Duplicable City Hub

The SEGO Center Duplicable City Hub

One Community is designing an open source duplicable city center to save resources and help model a redefinition of how people choose to live. The SEGO Center Duplicable City Hub will function as a recreation center, large-scale dining hall, large-scale laundry facility, and alternative for visitors that might not (at first) be comfortable staying in the earthbag or straw bale hand-constructed homes. As part of One Community’s duplicable teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities model, this one building will function as a revenue stream and communal-use and resource-saving replacement of individual kitchens, laundry rooms, and living rooms for all residents of One Community. This page contains the following sections related to the SEGO Center:

TED and TED Talks Featured as an Ethosolution

One Community just featured TED TalksGoodSearch, and the DivaCup as ethosolutions! Don’t know what an “ethosolution” is? An ethosolution is an idea, product, organization, or cause founded upon guiding principles and ideals universally accepted as creating a better world: integrity, honesty, peace, humanitarianism, love, compassion, cooperation, collaboration, sustainability, kindness, philanthropy, etc. Anything generally accepted as being a solution to common problems of our day with a positive effect on the whole of humanity, and One Community operates an entire site dedicated to them.

Water Saving Shower Heads

Water Saving Shower Heads

Showers are an important part of a person’s day. In addition to the importance of healthy hygiene, for many people, a great shower is one of the highlights of daily living. For this reason we’ve done over 30 hours of research just on water saving shower heads. Our goal is to open source share our group’s experience with each of the shower heads below as part of the development of the earthbag village and their inclusion in thecommunal shower designs. People have diverse preferences for the kind of shower they like so we will be naming the individual shower stalls based on the shower head within that stall and sharing our experience with the world including:
  • Durability and required maintenance of each shower head
  • Function of these shower heads with electric water heaters
  • Individual reviews and opinions on the pros and cons of each shower head
  • Which shower heads ultimately end up being used the most and become the preferred choice for One Community

DivaCup Brand Reusable Menstrual Cups

Menstrual cups offer a sustainable solution to the way women’s monthly flow had most commonly been handled, which was either by using disposable tampons or disposable pads. With the common and repetitive use of disposables, countless disposable tampons, pads, and their packaging are flushed and put into landfills. Most people don’t think about it and advertisers of the products even boast an “out of sight and out of mind” mentality. But the reality is these products are far from “out of sight”. They can be seen everywhere – in our landfills, washing up in our coast lines, our bathroom garbage cans, and traces of it may even be on or in your body! Not only that, but did you know menstrual cups and reusable tampons and pads:
  • Are free of the additives in most disposable tampons & pads which can be harmful to the body.
  • Don’t contain the polyethylene plastic in disposable pads, production of which is a pollutant.
  • Are free of the by-product of the tampon bleaching process which contains a known carcinogen.
  • Don’t use synthetic fiber rayon which may leave a residue on women that can lead to infection.
  • Unlike disposables, reusables don’t contribute to pollution leaching into groundwater, streams, & lakes.

Enviroartistic Design

The existing model for the most opulent of homes brings together a group of skilled people to design a work of art that suits the desires of its future inhabitants; One Community is using the same approach but with a community focus. The end results is an entire village and city model as a work of art, from our food production structures to our homes – each piece designed to demonstrate and reflect the creativity and desires of the group while supporting our non-profit open source green community goals.
