Squash: Cultural Considerations | Planting Guidelines | Where to Buy | More

Squash: Cultural Considerations | Planting Guidelines | Where to Buy | More

It was a staple of the diet of early civilizations because virtually the entire squash plant is edible: leaves, tendrils, shoots, stems, flowers, seeds and the fruit can all be eaten. Here's an open source guide to some heirloom varieties if you'd like to grow your own with more diversity than what you can find in the store.

Great squash recipe you'd love to share? Add it as a comment.
