Partners and Consultants to One Community: Cocreating & Working Together for World Change

Partners and Consultants to One Community: Cocreating & Working Together for World Change : http://www.onecommunityglobal.org/partners/#century-farm-orchards

Welcome to our newest partners: Century Farm Orchards

Century Farm Orchards is a small, century-long (thus the name) family owned and operated nursery specializing in old southern apples. Helping to preserve apples that were once widely grown in the United States from the 1600′s to the early 1900′s, David’s farm now offers many apples that cannot be purchased anywhere else in the world. More specifically, Century Farm Orchards is one of only two recipients of the Lee Calhoun apple collection of rare heirloom apples. The Calhoun apples offer a tremendous variety in taste, texture, and use that is no longer available in most stores and One Community is excited to partner with Century Farm Orchards as the provider of all of the apple trees that we will be growing in Walipini 2 as part of our Phase I food infrastructure and botanical garden model. Their focus is on quality over quantity and we are extremely happy to collaborate with and support Century Farm Orchards and the Calhoun apple legacy by doing our part to enhance public awareness, knowledge, and propagation of the amazing heirloom apple trees Century Farm Orchards provide.

We think that deep within a growing number of us there is an awakening and a desire to be a part of something that celebratesshares, and spreads the human potential for a life of purpose, growth, happiness, creativity, cooperation, collaboration, innovation, and meaningful interaction with each other and our world community. This page is about providing a path to achieving this and it contains the following sections:

Aquapini and Walipini Planting and Harvesting

Aquapini and Walipini Planting and Harvesting

The Walipini #1 open source planting map is now complete. Walapini #1 will demonstrate a frost-free arid zone as part of our open source botanical garden model for spreading and supporting biodiversity. The temperature range will be maintained between 60-100 F with humidity ranging between 50-90%. The plantings in Walapini #1 will be based on species from the world’s tropical deserts including (and centered around) specimens of the endangered species Cordeauxia edulis, the yeheb nut.

How to Create a Better World - One Community Progress Update #21

How to Create a Better World - One Community Progress Update #21

One Community is a solution creating solution purposed to duplicate itself. The solution we are creating is a model for how to create a better world. By now most people know that the necessary resources and technology exist to feed, house, and provide energy for every person on Earth. These solutions, however, are currently not available to most people. To solve this problem we are building the first of a global collaborative of self-sufficient teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that will provide a path to put the necessary technology and resources where they are needed most. Models such as this that provide a more appealing and affordable lifestyle have the potential to gain mainstream interest and support and become self-replicating, multiplying exponentially and transforming life on this planet as we know it. This is our progress update and accomplishments for the week of July 15, 2013.

Solution Model to Create Solution Creating Models

Solution Models that Create Solution Creating Models. If we think a 3D printer is a pretty good idea, how about a village duplication engine the starts a movement of self-replicating sustainable cities? Anyone can create these and change the world. Here's One Community's open source template and strategy for doing this.

Global Sustainability Strategy

We are taking the technology that exists to live and create for The Highest Good of All and building a bridge between idealism and pragmatism with a solution creating model that creates additional solution creating models. We are calling it One Community and founding it on what we feel most people will consider a more fulfilled and enriching living experience and open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing everything so people can duplicate it or evolve it in whatever way they desire. We believe if we make One Community appealing enough, affordable and easy enough to duplicate, and well-enough known, then this idea will spread and duplicate and diversify itself until we reach the necessary ‘tipping point’ in the participation of humanity that will lead our entire species to a new Golden Age of cooperation, collaboration, innovation, creativity, sustainability, and increased peace and happiness for all people.

Evolving Sustainability

The ultimate purpose of creating sustainable sustainability is to create an environment where living a happy life is realized as the end in itself. We believe this is most easily achieved  through an evolution of sustainability that demonstrates sustainable infrastructure as a path to a more fulfilled way of living. Coming together with a group consciousness focused on The Highest Good of All, we are building One Community as a living example of this so we can lead a global cooperative of teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities helping to spread and share this idea of sustainable sustainability across the world.

Curriculum for Life

The purpose of the Curriculum for Life component is to clearly outline everything we believe should be part of the human learning experience for any age. This includes all traditional subjects (math, science, reading, etc.), life skills (emotional awareness and responsibility, integrity, healthy relationships, communication skills, etc.), and subjects typically reserved for college (public speaking, business skills, psychology, etc.). Our primary goal is to provide all people, at any age, with a curriculum guide to being leaders, freethinkers, amazing, creative, and world changing people - “ambassadors of the future” - with maximum choices for how to apply themselves in the evolving world.

Earthbag Village Vermiculture Communal Eco-toilet and Eco-shower Designs

As part of the the open source earthbag village (Pod 1), we will be building and are open source project-launch blueprinting communal showers and toilets that provide a traditional septic while simultaneously offering and demonstrating an ultra-eco vermiculture (worm composting) solid waste processing option and an all natural greywater processing option. The purpose of the design of these systems is to:
● Demonstrate indoor worm composting as an option for repurposing human waste
● Demonstrate all natural greywater processing for repurposing greywater waste
● Include a traditional septic for people that want one and counties that need one
● Use the hot water from the showers to provide additional heat for the Tropical Atrium
● Demonstrate Pod 1 as a duplicable and complete village model that produces zero waste

Reinventing the Future One Community & One Teacher/Demonstration Village at a Time: One Community Weekly Update #20

Reinventing the Future One Community & One Teacher/Demonstration Village at a Time: One Community Weekly Update #20

We are reinventing the future with One Community. What the One Community team envisions is world of collaboration for The Highest Good of All built from a global cooperative of self-sustainable teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities. These teacher/demonstration hubs will demonstrate people living lives that include more time to do the things they love to do and little or no bills because they are built on ultra-affordable and sustainable infrastructure. The affordability of the lifestyle coupled with an internal culture of working together to create an enhanced and more fulfilling lifestyle are what we see these teacher/demonstration hubs purposed primarily to teach and share. Our goal is to help lead and organize the initial creation of these through a working example providing an open source archive of tools, tutorial, and resources for duplication of all aspects including food infrastructureenergy infrastructurehousing infrastructurean education model, asocial architecture and recreation model, a self-governance strategy, a functioning resource based economyearth regenerative practicesfor-profit and non-profit business infrastructure, and more. Combining these things in one place will create a place we see people wanting to visit and duplicate. This is One Community’s weekly and written progress and accomplishments update (#20) for the week of July 8th, 2013.

Tropical Atrium Temperature and Humidity Control

Tropical Atrium Temperature and Humidity Control

SUMMARY

The Tropical Atrium is designed to be adaptable to almost any environment. It will be maintained between 60-90 degrees Fahrenheit and 40-70% humidity. To accomplish our adaptability, temperature, and humidity goals we have designed this structure with a diversity of heating, cooling, and humidity control options and possible modifications. Our entire research and development process will be open source so others can duplicated and further evolve everything we do with their own Tropical Atrium structures.

Getting Done What Needs To Be Done

Getting Done What Needs To Be Done

As an elite team of dedicated, organized, and professional people contributing weekly to an ever-evolving action list, we have recognized the value of specifically focusing our attention on the details needed to complete our open source blueprints and start building. We call this “tangible contribution” and we differentiate it from planning meetings and other action items. By focusing specifically on tangible contribution, we get more done, keep collaboration high, and maintain momentum.

Who We Are and Who We Seek

Who We Are and Who We Seek

Ultimately who we are and who we are looking for is people with the mentality for The Highest Good of All. We are bringing together a think-tank of like-minded individuals to inspire and transform the world through sustainable and self-propagating models for self-sufficient communities, villages, and eventually cities. To do this requires going far beyond what we are capable of creating just for ourselves and investing the necessary time and personal energy to do, create, and share what is needed so others can follow in our footsteps as easily as possible. Who we are and who we are seeking is:
● People for the Highest Good of All● People who are leaders and innovators
● People who see we can change the world
● People who solution focused and positive
● People who see obstacles as opportunities
● People who are self-motivated and accountable
● People who see other people as an aspect of oneself
● People who are problem solvers and critical thinkers
● People who love cooperative and collaborative projects
● People with go-getter, pro-active, initiative-taking spirits
● People who love children, animals, nature and other people
● People who value personal growth, mindfulness, and going within
● People who are eager to share knowledge, talent, skills, and passions with others
● People who can step back and see the big picture when confronted with a challenge
● People who are bold, adventurous, and excited about playing in uncharted territory
● People who see the earth as a living entity, with us as part of it, and want to nurture it
● People who see the big picture and love working with the details that can make it better
● People who value deep relationships and practice loving, compassionate communication
● People who enact emotional responsibility even when triggered and/or pushed to the edge
● People who desire to be a part of a think-tank of creators, visionaries and New World Pioneers
● People who understand the power of perspective and maintain a positive outlook and approach
● People who are trusting and accepting of other people’s choices even if they differ from their own
● Conscious and conscientious creators, awake and aware and doing something with that knowledge
We are looking for people who are ready to support, help create, share and evolve everything on this site, and all the things we haven’t thought of yet, as we strive to do the absolute best and most intelligent and ethical process we can collectively come up with for creating a better future for everyone.

Policies and Procedures

As an elite team of professionals working together to create world change, we have learned through experience the key elements that are foundational to the smooth and effective operation of our organization as a whole. We have also learned that if we are all accountable to each of the foundational elements, then traditional administration and management is not necessary. With this in mind, One Community maintains a hands-off administrative policy. All new members of One Community are asked to read and agree to the following as part of joining the One Community team:
  • Accountability Statement

A New Life in a New World

A New Life in a New World

Many people say they want a new life, or at least a new way to live, but how does a person actually achieve this? Over 15 years of research and planning have gone into designing an answer called “One Community.” It is our belief that humanity is inherently empathic and desiring to do the right thing for themselves, the earth, and their fellow humans. We also feel the primary barrier for being living examples of this is people’s fear of not being able to meet their own foundational needs. With this in mind, One Community has evolved as a growing team of over 50 pioneers, partners, and consultants designing a path to far exceed the foundational needs of people while also helping the entire human organism, our planet, and all life on it.

Sustainable Communities Building Together for the Future of Us All - One Community Weekly Progress Update XIX

Sustainable Communities Building Together for the Future of Us All - One Community Weekly Progress Update XIX

One Community is creating the open source infrastructure for sustainable communities building for the future and benefit of all people. Our path to making this mainstream accessible and implementable is to lead a growing collaboration of teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities working together for The Highest Good of All. Everything we do is meant to be implementable as either individual components or as complete sustainable civilization models including food, energyhousingrecreationeducationearth regenerative practices, and more. We are also designing the software for global coordination and objective results tracking, organization of labor and materials, and data gathering for the on-going improvement of it all.

Here is the One Community weekly written and video progress update. This is number 19 since we started producing video updates to go with our written updates and it covers One Community’s forward movement and accomplishments for the week of July 1st to July 7th, 2013.

One Community Tropical Atrium Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting Hub

This page is the One Community open source project-launch blueprinting portal for the Tropical Atrium. Our goal with the Tropical Atrium is to create an aesthetically pleasing and multi-functional center for the earthbag village (Pod 1). It is designed to grow food, re-use greywater and recycle heat from the earthbag village showers, and provide a beautiful passive recreation space. It will be affordable relative to its size and produce herbs and tropical fruit as part of our botanical garden model. This page contains the following sections related to this structure:

Community Project Management Software

Community Project Management Software

The A.C.E. (Accountability – Celebration – Expansion) App is an open source and free-shared web-based application One Community has developed for time tracking and objective data collection. We use it daily to log and organize each of our team’s contribution through on-going records covering all aspects of the growth and evolution of our project as an open source project-launch blueprinting and research and development organization.
As we build One Community as part of a global collaborative of self-sufficient and self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages and cities, we will also be using this application to objectively log, evaluate, share, and collaborate with other communities, villages, and cities interested in working together for The Highest Good of All too. Combining the data of others with our data, we will evolve a global village construction database and objectively evaluate and share all aspects of a creation like One Community for comparison with other models. The ACE Application will provide useful data for everything from individual benefits gained from creating a culture of fulfilled living practices, to construction time and materials tracking for infrastructure, to complete city economic, social, and physical resource use and evolution.

Functionality will evolve to further include:
● Improving city efficiency
● Logging community participation and contribution
● Welcome Team and Project Team organization and coordination
● Gathering data and running reports on infrastructure build times
● Gathering data and running reports on complete city social and recreation time
● Improving efficiency and communication during large-scale consensus implementation
● Logging and tracking education components of the Education for Life program
● Logging specific work experience and skills data for individual resume use
● Sharing and collaborating on all the above data to make everything easier for others
